AN Experienced team of professionals to assist you

As professional saddle fitters we adhere to the SMS code of practice. We offer an advanced made to measure saddle fitting service with a wide range of top English saddle brands including Fairfax, Albion and Ideal. Our workshop and showroom complement our service with repairs and an opportunity to browse our products. We can fix many problems on-site by saddle flocking, adjusting girthing and saddle plate adjustments. If your horse has serious saddle issues, we can use the high-quality 'Flair' Air system and 'Korrector' saddle pads. Other adjustments can be carried out in the workshop including saddle re-flocking and major repairs.

Consultation and prices

Prior to the onsite consultation, we will discuss your problem and requirements.  The onsite consultation can take up to two hours. We assess you and your horse and would like to see you ride in a suitable, safe area. If you are requiring a new saddle, we will bring a selection of suitable saddles to try.

  • The charge for initial consultation starts at £60.00, and will depend on the distance travelled.
  • Any on-site fixes like flocking will be charged accordingly, and range between £20 - £50.
  • Further consultations will be at a reduced rate
  • On placing an order for a new saddle, we only charge mileage of £1.50 per mile on delivery of the saddle.
  • To check if the saddle has settled correctly to your horse, another consultation is required. If this check is arranged within 8 weeks of purchase, only mileage will be charged.
Prices do not include VAT

saddle designs
We stock high-quality saddle brands and keep demos of these saddles in stock. These can be tried and accessed on-site. Take a look at the following check-list to ensure the saddle is fastened the right way:
  • The panels must be wide, even on both sides and feel smooth from front to back
  • The gullet or channel should be wide and straight
  • The girth straps should be as far apart as possible so that the pull from the girth is widespread
  • The ends of the stirrup bars must not point inwards
You can check out various saddle brands at our store, Elevate, an exclusive equestrian store by Alice Nuttgens Saddlers. Contact us for more details.
